Hello! My name is Pamela, and my daughter Mallory has fibromyalgia. First of all, I want to say that Mallory rarely complains, even during her worst flare-ups. I admire her strength as she stays positive and continues to enjoy her friends and life in general. I could never do as well as she does under the same circumstances, although I would trade places with her in a minute if I could. After all, I am 65 and pain free, and she is just 32! It just doesn’t seem fair, and it breaks my heart! I feel helpless as I watch her struggle with her emotions and deal with all the doctors’ visits, medications, etc., always remaining hopeful that she will find something to alleviate the pain. Fortunately, we are both positive people and don’t tend to dwell on things that we can’t change or that make us unhappy. I want Mallory to know that I love her with all of my heart and support her every step of the way!
